    Flowertools features overview

    Complete archiver:
    Flowertools allows you to create archives by adding files and directories to an archive. It offers a compression level from 0 (very fast but no compression) to 9 (maximum compression). The directory structure can be stored within the file also. In short, like most common compression programs.
    Flowertools supports the . ZIP, .RAR, and .7Z (7zip) formats.

    ZIP disguising
    Flowertools can disguise a .ZIP file in order to make it pass through HTTP proxies and firewalls (even those ones performing packet inspection) without being recognized as a ZIP file.
    Large ZIP archives can be split and disguised too.
    Disguising a file is very easy:
  • Select a disguise document (JPG image, Word document, Excel sheet, PDF document or any other file that looks harmless).
  • Select "disguise" from the compression options,
  • Create a new archive.

    A disguised ZIP archive has the same extension as the disguise file and will also be recognised by it's default program.
    The hidden content will only be recognised by Flowertools.

    File management routines
    Flowertools offers a number of file commands to manage your files and directories in a simple and orderly way.
  • Flowertools uses a dual pane and multi tabbed interface. This means you can switch to various directories with a single mouse click.
  • Show directory size: The size of the contents of (sub) directories is calculated to allow you to find out where most hard disk space is used.

    Flowertools contains a number of functions that will make every day computing easier. Most of these functions can also be found on numerous other programs, but no other program contains them all!
  • Split and join files: not only Zip files can be divided into smaller parts (disk spanning), also any other file can be split.
  • Email files using the default email client.
  • Disguise any file offers you to wrap and encrypt a file into another to prevent exposure.
  • Change the size of one or multiple image files (GIF,JPG,BMP,PNG supported).

  • Find files. You can use a file mask to search files or to exclude files from the search result.
  • Find text in files. You can also search for files that contain a certain text phrase. Search results can be exported to a file.
  • Make screenshots of parts of the screen and save them to a file or copy them into the clipboard.
  • Backup facility. You can backup specific files in a single directory to the complete harddisk to a backup file. When you use Flowertools as your backup facility you will have a backup solution almost for free!
  • Very quick file viewer. This viewer will show files at disk level, so they will not be loaded into memory. Viewing is very fast and there is no limitation to the file size. There is no risk of accidental file change.
